A comprehensive, master planned redevelopment approach incorporating the redevelopment of all of the Bayview / Hunter's Point public housing development as practical solution to neighborhood revitalization. The plan advocates complete revitalization of the neighborhood, rather than leaving portions in distress and investing in only the 'best' real estate. It replaces one-for-one the existing 959 public housing in privately-managed mixed-income development without displacement. More than 2,000 units of new, non-subsidized housing would be created by restoring the historic San Francisco street grid.
