The Aga Khan University (AKU), founded by His Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan as Pakistan’s first interdisciplinary university for graduate level education, is planning for the establishment of a Faculty of Arts and Sciences (AKU-FAS) and Professional Graduate Schools on more than 1,200 acres of land in a largely undeveloped area just outside Karachi that has been designated as “Education City”. Goody Clancy is currently assisting AKU with land-use planning for a 700-acre mixed use “University Town” that will complement the university campus and other area institutions with significant residential neighborhoods, services and amenities for the campus community and the broader community supporting it.
